For Post-Construction Cleanup
Below is the exact step-by-step process we use to safely eliminate construction debris and make any property completely useable, safe, and sparkling.
HIGH-LEVEL DUST & DEBRIS REMOVAL
Dust settles everywhere—including places you cannot see. We start from the absolute ceiling level and work our way down to ensure no airborne particles ruin completed surfaces.
• TOP OF JOINERY: Every door frame, curtain rail, and high shelving unit is hoovered and microfibre-wiped.
• WALL WASHING: Dry-dusting or damp-wiping walls to remove the fine film of white dust that dulls your paintwork.
ADHESIVE, STICKER, & PAINT SPOT REMOVAL
Tradesmen leave behind protective plastics, tape, and accidental spills. Removing these requires professional solvents to avoid scratching new installations.
• STICKER & TAPE PEELING: We carefully peel manufacturing stickers from new windows, toilets, appliances, and kitchen units.
• GLUE & RESIDUE DISSOLVING: Using specialised, surface-safe adhesive removers to completely dissolve sticky residue left behind by protective films.
• PAINT & PLASTER SCRAPING: Using professional glass scrapers and targeted solvents to remove paint splatters and plaster spots from glass, skirting boards, and switches without scratching the underlying material or damaging surrounding paintwork.
DETAILED SURFACE & FIXTURE SANITISATION
Once the heavy dust and adhesives are gone, we sanitise every square inch to remove chemical smells and construction films.
• INSIDE & OUT CABINET DETAILING: Every kitchen cupboard, wardrobe, and drawer is hoovered out to remove dust hidden in the hinges and tracks, then wiped clean inside and out.
• SOCKET & SWITCH WIPING: Meticulous wiping/polishing of all plug sockets, light switches, and door handles.
• SANITARYWARE POLISH: Deep cleaning new bathrooms to remove grout film (grout haze) from tiles, and polishing chrome taps, sinks, and toilets until they are sterile and streak-free.
WINDOW SHINE
Ensuring all aspects indoors and outdoors are covered, glass is treated with care and specialised tools and products.
• INSIDE & OUT WINDOW DETAILING: Ensuring glass is spot free on both sides.
• FRAME WIPING: Detail cleaning window edges, frames and vents.
• DEEP TRACK CLEARING: We hoover up trapped dust, bugs, and debris from window tracks.
INDUSTRIAL FLOOR RESTORATION
Construction dust traps itself in carpet fibres and leaves a cloudy film on hard floors. Standard mopping just smears this around.
• SKIRTING & THRESHOLD DETAILING: A final hand-wipe of all skirting boards and floor thresholds to complete the look.
• MULTI-STAGE HOOVERING: Carpets and underlays are hoovered multiple times to agitate and pull heavy grit out from deep down.
• HARD FLOOR FILM REMOVAL: We use specialised neutralising cleaners to break down the alkaline film left by plaster and cement, or any spots of mislaid paint, followed by a detailed damp-mop or machine scrub.
CURB APPEAL
At Sanitize N' Shine, we understand the importance of Curb Appeal. This is included as standard in our handover clean services, but we can offer 'Touch-Up Cleans' and 'Curb Appeal' specific services as stand alone services.
• GUTTER DUSTING: Clearing of any cobwebs and moss from the guttering and downpipes.
• MULTI-STAGE CLEANING: We use specialised cleaning solutions to soften the dirt on the fascias, soffits, and garage doors before agitating the dirt using a flocked soft bristled brush on an extendable telescopic pole. Metilculously scrubing underneath all edges, brackets, and vents.
• THRESHOLD DETAILING: All surfaces are polished off including doorways/doors and any exterior extras (lights, doorbells, etc.)
